https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/ISHOWSPEED.mp4 CONTEXT As part of a fictional assignment, I created a 15-second music video for a record label, choosing the energetic track “World Cup” by iShowSpeed. This was a solo project, and I was responsible for the entire visual concept, production, and animation. My main inspiration came from Quicktlme, a 3D artist known for producing visually striking music videos for various artists, whose dynamic and impactful style strongly influenced the direction of this project. CHALLENGE The key challenge was to convey the explosive energy and chaotic excitement of iShowSpeed’s track in a very short format while creating a consistent and visually engaging 3D world. I wanted to strike a balance between realism and exaggeration, blending stylized visuals with intense motion to keep the viewer captivated throughout. It was also important for me to create animated sequences that matched the rhythm of the music without falling into a repetitive or predictable pattern. SOLUTION I designed the entire video in 3D using Blender, carefully modeling each environment to ensure a fluid and energetic visual continuity. The characters were created using Blender extensions, allowing me to reach a level of detail and stylization that fit perfectly with the over-the-top vibe of the song. For character animation, I used Mixamo, which gave me access to a wide range of dynamic movements that aligned well with the fast pace of the music and saved time on manual keyframing. The overall direction focused on quick cuts, dramatic camera movements, and impactful transitions to reflect the intensity of the track and the bold personality of iShowSpeed. Every element was crafted to immerse the viewer in a vibrant, animated world that pulses with the same chaotic energy as the song itself. ONE TOO MANY DRINKS
https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Final_render.mp4 CONTEXT As part of a school workshop, I collaborated with two fellow students to create a one-minute short film with a Western theme. The only requirement was to include the keywords “cat” and “candle” at the heart of the story. Our team was made up of a motion design student, an art direction student, and myself, in charge of environment design. We used Blender, Procreate, and After Effects throughout the production process. CHALLENGE Our main challenge was to build a compelling and coherent narrative within such a short format while visually blending 2D animations seamlessly into 3D environments. We also had to define a strong and consistent artistic direction that would enhance the emotional arc of the story and support the psychological depth of the character, particularly through the use of color and sound design. SOLUTION We started by developing the story together and creating a quick storyboard to align our creative intentions. I took charge of designing and building all the environments in Blender, which gave us full control over camera movements and allowed us to avoid redrawing scenes from different angles. This 3D approach also opened the door to dynamic effects like the vertigo shot, which added cinematic depth. For the visual style, we experimented until we found a cartoon-inspired look that merged well with the character design. I used Blender’s Grease Pencil tool to draw hand-drawn lines around 3D elements, giving everything a unified illustrated feel. On the audio side, we crafted a sound design that brought the film to life and added a playful rhythm matching the tone of the story. We also focused on color grading to strengthen the atmosphere, using warm tones for the cozy saloon setting and colder, darker hues to reflect the character’s descent into madness. VISUALIZER MY EYES
https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/MY_EYES_VISUALIZER_COLORS_FINAL.mp4 CONTEXT I have always wanted to create visualizer to craft authentic universes for musical artists, playing with the connections between images and sounds. The song ‘My Eyes’ by Travis Scott is one that I really like, as well as the artistic direction surrounding his albums. Therefore, I decided to start creating a visualizer for this song. CHALLENGE After seeking as much inspiration as possible, I decided to go with a video featuring abstract shapes that intensify with the music to achieve a more chaotic effect. The main challenge in this project was to successfully create dynamic shapes and ensure that they truly follow the rhythm of the music. SOLUTION I chose to use Touch Designer to easily manage the evolution of the shapes based on the sound by using specific nodes in the software. The additional texture work on these shapes was done in After Effects, which also allowed me to enhance the colors and improve the rendered textures coming from Touch Designer. NL CONTEST
CONTEXT The NL Contest is an international urban sports event (skateboarding, BMX, scooter…) held annually in Strasbourg. To celebrate the event’s 20th anniversary, I participated in a group project to design a booklet and augmented reality stickers. The goal was to offer an interactive and educational experience highlighting the urban cultures represented at the festival. CHALLENGE The project was built around four main themes: streetball, breakdance, graffiti, and DJing. Each theme was represented by a sticker paired with an augmented animation. The main challenge was to create a strong, cohesive graphic identity while making animation easier. We chose a simple illustration style, with bold lines and exaggerated proportions to emphasize movement. The animation process required us to carefully separate each character into multiple layers — a time-consuming task since the illustrations were created in Procreate without pre-separated elements. SOLUTION I personally created the simple animation of the DJ and the basketball player, as well as the interactive animation between the basketball player and the dancer, which activates when both stickers are scanned together. I used After Effects and its Puppet Tool, along with the Duik Angela plugin, to rig and animate the characters more efficiently. This collaborative project allowed us to blend motion design, illustration, and augmented reality into a dynamic, playful, and engaging experience that celebrates urban culture in a fresh and interactive format. https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DJ.mp4https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Basketteuse.mp4https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Danceuse.mp4https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/graffeuse.mp4 https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Stickers-1-4.mp4https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Stickers-2-3.mp4 OTHER PROJECTS BACK TO WORKS SHOWREEL // 2025 SILENIUM AIR FORCE 0 SHOWREEL 2024
SILENIUM
CONTEXT SILENIUM is a fictional film festival project that I fully conceptualized and developed — from communication strategy to artistic direction. The project pays tribute to silent cinema from the 1910s and 1920s by reimagining it through an immersive experience combining archival footage and live music (performed, in this scenario, by the fictional Orchestre National de Lyon). Designed as a bridge between memory and innovation, the festival targets two key audiences: Young people (aged 10–25) drawn to visual innovation and immersive storytelling and Seniors (65+) who value cinematic heritage and nostalgia. CHALLENGE The main challenge was to reinvent a century-old art form without freezing it in the past, while creating a strong, coherent visual and narrative identity suitable for both physical and digital formats. I conducted a fictional positioning study to better understand audience expectations and analyze similar events and platforms, such as the Pordenone Festival and Netflix. A key aspect of the creative challenge was to turn silence into a powerful expressive language that invites the audience to project their own emotions and interpretations. SOLUTION To meet this challenge, I designed a fully immersive fictional project blending visual design, storytelling, and digital strategy. Inspired by silent film intertitles, the visual identity uses bold typography with a modern 3D effect and a black-and-white palette for timeless impact. I created the main visual in Blender — a screaming face surrounded by animated film strips — and adapted it across various formats, including posters, flyers, and even popcorn boxes. I also developed engaging digital content such as teaser videos, interactive animations, and social media campaigns to extend the experience online. A clear creative workflow ensured visual and narrative consistency throughout the project. https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Affiche_Animee.mp4 OTHER PROJECTS BACK TO WORKS SHOWREEL // 2025 ONE TOO MANY DRINKS AIR FORCE 0 NL CONTEST

https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Final-Editing-Drop.mp4 CONTEXT As part of a workshop at Les Ateliers Éclairés in Strasbourg, we were asked to create a projection mapping experience designed specifically for a skateboarding structure we had to build ourselves. The goal was to produce a one-minute video combining live footage, projections, and motion design to create an immersive and visually engaging narrative. CHALLENGE The project involved several layers of complexity. First, we had a very tight timeline to complete everything—from concept to final projection. Second, we had to learn and integrate technical tools like TouchDesigner and MadMapper, which were new to many of us. Finally, we needed to ensure that the visuals interacted seamlessly with the skaters in real time, requiring both technical precision and strong coordination between teams. SOLUTION We overcame these challenges through clear team organization and a strong visual direction. I was personally in charge of designing the visuals and handling the real-time projection software. Using Syphon to bridge TouchDesigner and MadMapper, we managed to align our content with the structure’s geometry. Visually, we leaned into a retro, grunge aesthetic inspired by 2000s skate videos, using fisheye lenses and textured overlays to enhance the vibe and fully immerse the viewer. AIR FORCE 0
https://clementbroussescalbert.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/AIR-FORCE-0.mp4 CONTEXT On January 10, 2024, I decided to embark on the project of creating a fictional advertisement for a pair of Nike shoes. And because using an existing shoe model seemed too ‘simple’ to me, I also challenged myself to invent a new version of the Air Force 1. CHALLENGE The difficulty of this project was to create content that stays within the brand’s codes while deviating just enough to bring a new identity to this new pair. Technically, it was also a big 3D challenge for me because the entire video would be created in CGI. The second challenge was technical. The narrative structure of the video demanded advanced skills in 3D and animation to execute the entire project using CGI. I had to rely on plugins and extensions, especially for character creation and animation. SOLUTION I chose to create a very dynamic montage in which the shoe is gradually revealed, constructed with refined 3D visual effects. On top of that, I added post-production work to incorporate glitches and transitions that would enhance the music. WE LOVE GREEN
CONTEXT We Love Green is an eco-conscious music festival held every year in Paris. It blends international live performances, talks on environmental issues, and immersive nature-based experiences. For this fictional project, I imagined the full artistic direction for the Summer 2025 edition — from logo design to the overall visual identity, including the creation of exclusive festival goodies. The goal was to build a rich, coherent, and versatile visual universe. CHALLENGE The challenge was to create a visual identity that reflects both the ecological DNA of the festival and its contemporary energy. I aimed to find the right balance between organic nature and visual innovation, with a strong immersive dimension. The visual system needed to adapt seamlessly across various formats (print, digital, merchandise), while fully capturing the festival’s unique spirit: a celebration grounded in sustainability. The second challenge was technical. The narrative structure of the video demanded advanced skills in 3D and animation to execute the entire project using CGI. I had to rely on plugins and extensions, especially for character creation and animation. SOLUTION I developed a visual identity based on three main colors (vibrant pink, natural green, and deep gray), combining dynamism and depth. The 3D logo, designed from hand-drawn sketches, was conceived from the start to work in animated form, embodying the contrast between modernity and nature. The main poster was designed as a full 3D animated scene where the camera moves through a lush environment, blending glowing plants with abstract effects — reflecting the dreamy and electronic atmosphere of the festival. Online resources like AmbientCG (for textures) and Mixamo (for character animation) were also extremely helpful. Lastly, having a clear vision of each shot I wanted to create — thanks to an intensive research phase and detailed moodboards — made the production process much smoother and more focused.
